If you haven't seen it yet, check out http://www.pangeaday.org. The highlight video is quite remarkable. I have been doing a lot of reflecting on the role of media and its ability to bring people together into community. Media creates a common reference for dialogue and discussion. Many of the films on the Pangea Day site are quite touching. Held as an international event, the films brought people around the world together and truly inspire. It was also great to see so many members of the TED community coming together to make it happen! Can we build communities as such on the Internet with a shared viewing experience?
